MAHAPARINIRVAN DIVAS : SPECIAL RAILWAY ARRANGEMENTS 

For every occasions Indian Railway are making remarkable arrangements for handling extra rush of passengers. For the safe traveling and comfortable journey of commuters, various Zones of Railway woks shoulder to shoulder and presenting a simultaneous and most appreciable results. Everybody knows that Mahaparinirvan divas is the death anniversary day of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, Father of the Indian Constitution. He had died on 6th of December in the 1956 and every year we are celebrating that day as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's Mahaparinirvan Din. This year also Railway made special arrangements for celebrating 6th December, 2015.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS BY RAILWAY

In view of the large number of followers of  Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar expected to visit Chaitya Bhoomi at Dadar in Mumbai to pay homage on 6th December, 2015 Central Railway has made elaborate arrangements to clear the extra rush of passengers as well as to avoid any untoward incidents. 

• For the convenience of outstation passengers it has been decided to run 11 Unreserved Special Trains between Mumbai / Dadar - Nagpur / Ajni / Sevagram and Mumbai - Solapur.
• Also it has been decided to run 12 suburban special trains on Dadar - Kalyan and Kurla -Panvel sections.
• Apart from wide publicity through newspapers, arrangements are also being made to announce in Marathi and Hindi regularly about running of Special Trains for Mahaparinirvan Divas through public address system and display of train timetable on notice boards at conspicuous places at stations for the guidance of passengers.
• Additional booking counters will be opened to issue unreserved tickets at CST, Dadar, LTT, Thane and Kalyan during the period from 6.12.2015 to 9.12.2015.
• Assistance Booths will be provided at CST, Dadar, LTT, Thane and Kalyan to assist the passengers who come to pay homage, in addition to all enquiry counters which will remain functional round the clock. one assistance booth at Chaitya Bhoomi, Dadar will also be provided to disseminate the train information.   
• Directional signage boards will be provided at Dadar showing the way to Chaitya Bhoomi for the guidance of the passengers. 
• Arrangement will be made for provision of medical facility for 24 hrs at CST, Dadar, LTT, Thane and Kalyan. one Ambulance will also be parked at the entrance of the station for emergencies.
• To avoid any kind of untoward incidence, foolproof security arrangements will be made at all stations including Dog Squad / CCTV and Metal Detectors. Adequate number of RPF/GRP personnel will be deployed on trains, at all train originating stations and at intermediate large stations for security.
• Arrangements for drinking water, proper lighting, and adequate catering facility will be made available at halts of special trains.

AUGMENTATION OF EXPRESS TRAINS 

Railways have also decided to attach one additional General Second class coach each by following trains.

• Train No.17412 Mahalakshmi Express Ex KOP on 5.12.20152. \
• Train No.11024 Sahyadri Express Ex KOP on 5.12.20153. 
• Train No.17411 Mahalakshmi Express Ex CST Mumbai on 6.12.20154. 
• Train No.11023 Sahyadri Express Ex CST Mumbai on 6.12.2015

SPECIAL TRAINS 

4 MORE UNRESERVED SPECIAL TRAINS FOR MAHAPARINIRVAN DIVAS

Railways have decided to run two unreserved Special Trains between Dadar -  Adilabad and two unreserved special trains between Secunderabad - Nagpur.

DADAR - ADILABAD - DADAR  SPECIALS (2)

• Train No.07057 special will leave Dadar at 21.45 hrs on 6.12.2015 and will arrive Adilabad at 14.30 hrs next day. 
• Train No.07058 special will leave Adilabad at 10.00 hrs on 5.12.2015 and arrive Dadar at 04.30 hrs next day.

Halting

Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Nagarsol, Rotegaon, Lasur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Partur, Selu, Manwat Road, Parbhani, Purna, Hazur Sahib Nanded, Mudkhed, Bhokar, Himayatnagar and Kinwat.

SECUNDERABAD - NAGPUR - SECUNDERABAD SPECIALS (2)

• Train No. 07061 special will leave Secunderabad at 22.25 hrs on 5.12.2015 and arrive Nagpur at 08.15 hrs next day.
• Train No. 07062 special will leave Nagpur at 22.00 hrs o­n 6.12.2015 and arrive Secunderabad at 08.20 hrs next day.

Halting

Jangaon, Kazipet, Peddapalli, Ramagundam, Ballarsha, Chandrapur, Hinganghat and Sevagram.    

Composition

12 General second class coaches.
