Many areas in Chennai still under water but heavy rain had stopped today morning. Life of people in Chennai will be difficult in upcoming days. Travel plans come crashing down as airport remains shut. Railway cancelled many train services, but announced many Passenger Specials and Express/Mail Trains services. Along with South Central Railway and Southern Railway, Central Railway, Western Railway and North Western Railway also cancelled their services to Chennai from various destination of the country on 5.12.2015 and 6.12.2015 due to Chennai floods. 

Here are the Total Train Updates for the upcoming days by various zones of  Indian Railway related to Chennai floods.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS BY RAILWAY

EMU trains are operated every 45 min  between Chennai Beach and Arakkonam section from today (04.12.15) to give connectivity for the passengers who are  coming by air to Arakkonam Naval base. 21 Passenger specials were run from / to Chennai Beach / Tiruvallur / Arakkonam / Villupuram / Tiruchchirappalli / Tirunelveli / Kanniyakumari / Rameswaram / Mangalore / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Hazrat Nizamuddin / Howrah  in the past two days to clear the stranded passengers. 

Connectivity through EMU to the originating stations were made to the stranded passengers. Officers are deputed to Chennai Beach and other originating stations to monitor the running of specials to various destinations including booking and refund of tickets by opening additional counters. Track works are also doing . Railway already published the Help Line Numbers.

GRANT OF FULL REFUND ON TICKET FARE DUE TO FLOODS 

Southern Railway has decided to cancel all the trains originating / arriving and passing through Chennai, until 5th December 2015.  This may be extended depending upon the restoration. Grant of full refund of fare, after deducting only the clerical charge, to all the passengers on submission of the TDR.

The TDR may be issued for period of 10 days reckoned from 04.12.2015 applicable to cancellations from 1st December 2015 onwards and application for refund will be honored for a period of 30 days from the scheduled departure of the train .Applications are to be sent to CHIEF COMMERCIAL MANAGER /Refunds/Southern Railway,Park Town, Chennai - 600 003.

NORTH WESTERN RAILWAY

• Train No.12968 Jaipur - Chennai Super Fast train is cancelled on 6.12.2015.

CENTRAL RAILWAY

• Train No.11041 CST - Chennai Central Express scheduled departure at 14.00 hrs cacnelled on 5.12.2015 and 6.12.2015 
• Train No.12163 Dadar - Chennai Egmore Express scheduled departure at 20.30 hrs cacnelled on 5.12.2015 and 6.12.2015 
• Train No.11027 CST - Chennai Central Mail scheduled departure at 23.45 hrs cacnelled on 5.12.2015 and 6.12.2015

SOUTHERN RAILWAY

• Train No.06151 Kanniyakumari – Mangalore special train will leave Kanniyakumari at 12.30 hrs on 05.12.2015. Halting: Nagercoil, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayankulam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Trichur and Shoranur.
• A special train from Chennai Beach  to Hyderabad will leave Chennai Beach at 14.00 hrs on 05.12.2015. Halting: Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Renigunta,Gudur, Nellore , ongole,Tenali, Vijayawada, Warangal, Kazipet and Secunderabad.
• A special train from Chennai Beach to Kakinada will leave Chennai  Beach at 11.30 hrs on 05.12.2015. Halting: Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Renigunta, Gudur,Nellore, Ogole,Tenali, Vijayawada,  Eluru, Rajahmundry and Samarlakot.
• Arakkonam – Mangalore Special Train (via Coimbatore, Shoranur, Kozhikode) will leave Arakkonam at 12.00 hrs on 05.12.2015. Stoppages : Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem,Erode, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur,Kozhikode,  Kannur  and  Kasaragod .
• Train No 06153 Arakkonam – Thiruvananthapuram Special will leave Arakkonam at 10.30 hrs on 05.12.2015.  The train will stop at Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Trichur, Alwaye, Ernakulam and Kottayam.
• Chennai Beach - Tirunelveli special train (via Katpadi, Villupuram, Trichchirappalli and Madurai).will leave Chennai Beach at 12.30 hrs on 5.12.2015. Stoppages: Perambur, Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Villupuram,Vridhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Kovilpatti and  Vanchi Maniyachi.
• Chennai Beach - Rameswaram (via Katpadi, Salem, Karur, Trichchirappalli,Karakkudi) will leave Chennai Beach 12.30 hrs on 05.12.2015. Stoppages: Perambur, Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Karur,Tiruchchirappalli,Pudukkottai, Karaikkudi and Manamadurai .

SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY

• Train No.02615 Vijayawada - New Delhi special train is scheduled to depart Vijayawada at 02:00 hrs on 5th December, 2015. 
• Train No.02656 Vijayawada - Ahmedabad special train is scheduled to depart Vijayawada at 16:45 hrs on 5th December, 2015. 
• Train No.02375 Vijayawada - Asansol special train is scheduled to depart Vijayawada at 21:55 hrs on 5th December, 2015. 

WESTERN RAILWAY

• Train No.12655 Ahmedabad - Chennai Central Navjeevan Express is cancelled on 5th December 2015 
• Train No.19420 Ahmedabad - Chennai Central Express leaving Ahmedabad on 5th December 2015 is cancelled.
