HOLI SPECIAL TRAINS 2016

Holi is well known as festival of colors, is a religious festival celebrated by Hindus all over the world. It is considered as the second biggest Hindu festival after the Diwali. It is a colorful and cheerful festival celebrated on the last full moon of the lunar month of Phalguna at the end of the winter season, usually in the month of March. But it is observed on different dates in some areas of India. The Holi festival traditionally celebrates the victory of good over evil.

Indian Railway announced Holi Festival Special Trains 2016 for this year also. Every year Railway is announcing Special Trains for Holi festival in order to control the extra rush of passengers.  Following are the details of the trains announced by various zones of  Indian Railway. NORTHERN RAILWAY

Northern Railway extend the run of following Holi Special Trains 2016 in order to control the extra rush of passengers. Following are the list of trains.

• Train No.04404 Anand Vihar - Lucknow Special scheduled to depart from Anand Vihar at 19.35 hrs and will reach Lucknow at 04.40 hrs. The train will run on Friday from 04.03.2016 to 25.03.2016.  
• Train No.04403 Lucknow - Anand Vihar Special scheduled to depart from Lucknow at 06.50 hrs and will reach Anand Vihar at 15.50 hrs. The train will run on Sunday from 06.03.2016 to 27.03.2016.

NORTHERN RAILWAY

• Train Nos.05035/05036 Gorakhpur- Anand Vihar Terminus Weekly Holi Special train

Train No. 05035 Gorakhpur- Anand Vihar T. Weekly Holi Special train will depart from Gorakhpur at 14.30 hrs and will reach Anand Vihar T.  at 05.00 hrs the next day. The train will run on every Sunday on 06, 13, 20, 27 - 03.2016 and 03 and 10 - 04.2016. 
Train No. 05036 Anand Vihar T.- Gorakhpur Weekly Holi Special train will depart from Anand Vihar T. at 07.00 am and will reach Gorakhpur at 21.55 hrs the same day. The train will run on every Monday on 07,14,21,28 - 03.2016 and 04 and 11 - 04.2016.

Northern Railway announced Holi Special Trains 2016 in order to control extra rush of passengers during Holi Festival. The Weekly Special is between Katihar and Firozpur Cantt. and Tri-Weekly AC Suvidha Express Special is between Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Following are the details. 

• Katihar - Firozpur Cantt. - Katihar Weekly Special Trains with 06 trips(Train Nos.05717/05718) 

Train No.05717 Weekly Holi Special Train is scheduled to depart from Katihar at 09.15 hrs and will arrive Firozpur Cantt at 19.10 hrs. The Train will run from Katihar on every Thursday( 17.03.2016, 24.03.2016 and 31.03.2016).
Train No.05718 Weekly Holi Special Train is scheduled to depart from Firozpur Cantt at 22.35 hrs and will arrive Katihar at 11.30 hrs.The train will run from Firozpur Cantt on every Friday (18.03.2016, 25.03.2016 and 01.04.2016).

Train No.04412 Tri-Weekly AC Suvidha Express Holi Special Train scheduled to depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 20.15 hrs and will arrive Delhi Jn. at 10.15 hrs. The train will run from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra on every Tuesday Friday and Sunday from 20.03.2016 to 01.04.2016.

Train No.04416 Bi-Weekly AC Suvidha Express Holi Special scheduled to depart from New Delhi at 19.25 hrs and will arrive Barauni at 18.50 hrs. The Train will run on every Tuesday and Friday from 18.03.2016 to 29.03.2016.

Train No.04415 Suvidha special scheduled to depart from Barauni at 21.35 hrs and will arrive New Delhi at 22.10 hrs.The train will run on every Wednesday and Saturday from 19.03.2016 to 30.03.2016.

Western Railway announced that for the convenience of passengers during the vacation and with a view to meet the travel demand during the Holi festive season, railway decided to run Super fast Special train from Bandra Terminus to Ajmer with 02 trips. This train will be fully reserved and Special fare with special charges will be applicable for this train. Following are the details.

• Bandra Terminus - Ajmer Super fast Holi Festival Special train

Train No.09622 Bandra Terminus - Ajmer Super fast Special train will depart from Bandra Terminus at 06.15 hrs on 21st March, 2016 and will reach Ajmer at 03.15 hrs next day.
Train No.09621 Ajmer - Bandra Terminus Super fast Special train will depart from Ajmer at 06.30 hrs on 20th March, 2016 and will reach Bandra Terminus at 04.45 hrs next day.

• Patna - Anand Vihar T.- Patna Super Fast Holi Festival Special Train (06 Trips)

Train No.02365 Patna - Anand Vihar Terminus Super fast Special Train will depart from Patna on 25.03.2016, 26.03.2016 and 27.03.2016 (03 trips) at 08.10 pm to reach Anand Vihar Terminus at 02.20 pm the next day. 
In the return direction, Train No.02366  Anand Vihar Terminus – Patna Super fast Special Train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminus on 26.03.2016, 27.03.2016 and 28.03.2016 (03 trips) at 06.45 pm to reach Patna  at 12.00 noon  the next day.

South Central Railway announced Two Suvidha Special Trains as HOLI Festival Specials 2016 between Secunderabad and Patna via Allahabad, Varanasi.

• Secunderabad - Patna Holi Suvidha Super Fast Special Trains

Train No.02793 Secunderabad - Patna Suvidha Super fast Special train will depart Secunderabad at 21:40 hrs on 20th March, 2016 (Sunday) and arrive Patna at 10:00 hrs on Tuesday.
In the return direction, Train No.02794 Patna - Secunderabad Suvidha Super fast Special train will depart Patna at 09.30 hrs on 25th March, 2016 (Friday) and arrive Secunderabad at 22.00 hrs on Saturday.
Halting
Kazipet, Ramagundam, Ballarshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Mughalsarai, Buxar, Ara and Danapur stations in both the directions.

Eastern Railway decided to run 3 pairs of Holi Festival special trains 2016 between Kolkata - Gorakhpur - Asansol, Howrah - Patna Jansadharan and Howrah - Raxaul Jansadharan.

Train No.03131 Kolkata - Gorakhpur Holi special will leave Kolkata station on March 21, 2016 (Monday) at 20.05 hrs and reach Gorakhpur at 14.00 hrs the next day. 
Train No.03132 (the down train)will leave Gorakhpur at 15.30 hrs on March 22, 2016 (Tuesday) and will terminate at Asansol at 5.00 hrs the next day.  

Composition
The train will have general second class, sleeper and AC coaches.

• Howrah - Patna Jansadharan Holi special 

Train No.03073 Howrah - Patna Jansadharan Holi special will leave Howrah on March 20, 2016 (Sunday) at 20.15 hrs and reach Patna at 6.00 hrs the next day. 
Train No.03074 (the down train) will leave Patna Jn. on March 21, 2016  (Monday) at 8.55 hrs and reach Howrah at 18.55 hrs the same day.

• Howrah - Raxaul Jansadharan Holi special

Train No. 01005 LTT - Karmali train scheduled to depart from LTT at 01.10 hrs of every Friday on 18.03.2016 and 25.03.2016 and will arrive Karmali at 11.30 hrs on the same day.
Train No.01006 Karmali - LTT train scheduled to depart from Karmali at 01.10 hrs of every Friday on 18.03.2016 and 25.03.2016 and will arrive LTT at 00.20 hrs on the next day.

NEW FOOT OVER BRIDGE : AMBOLI STATION

Foot Over Bridge

NEW FOOT OVER BRIDGE (FOB) AT AMBOLI RAILWAY LC NO. 24 BETWEEN ANDHERI AND JOGESHWARI TO BE OPENED ON 13th March, 2016

Western Railway announced that tomorrow i.e.13.03.2016 the new FOB at Amboli Railway station will be opened.The wait of the nearby residents for a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) over the closed Amboli Railway Crossing, will be finally over, when the newly constructed FOB will be inaugurated by Shri Gajanan Kirtikar, Hon’ble MP on Sunday 13th March, 2016.

The 65.47 m long and 6 meter wide FOB has been constructed between Andheri and Jogeshwari, in place of the Level Crossing Gate (LC No. 24) which was closed on 31.03.2015 for the construction of FOB. 

A Road Over Bridge (ROB) had been commissioned between Jogeshwari and Goregaon in lieu of LC - 24 in September, 2015 and many representations were also received from local public for construction of a FOB at the location of the closed LC gate.

FIRST RAIL AUTO HUB INAUGURATING TODAY : RAIL BUDGET 2016

As announced in Rail budget 2016 - 2017, Railway Minster Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate the first common user originating Rail Auto - Hub at Walajabad near Chennai at 15.30 hrs on 01.03.2016 i.e today  through video conferencing from Rail Bhavan , New Delhi.

Fist Auto - Hub in Chennai

Walajabad station is being developed as the first common user originating rail Auto - Hub on Indian Railways. Located in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu. The station is located conveniently at 12 - 40 kilometres away from the major Auto Hubs of Oragadam, Sriperumpudur and Singaperumal Kovil areas housing the manufacturing facilities of Nissan, Hyundai, Ford, Dairnler, Chrysler and others. 

This hub would cater to the over 1 million units of 4 wheeler being produced per annum in these areas. Also, Walajabad Auto Hub would act as an ideal distribution center for the inward traffic of TATA, Honda etc. converging for distribution into Tamil Nadu and adjoing states, including Puducherry.

With an initial holding capacity of over 300 , 4 - wheeler , this rail hub has seamless road connectivity of 4/6 lanes to the production and consumption centers. Adequate lighting and fencing for security are also on the anvil.

Phase I - of the Hub would be ready to handle the first Auto - Carrying train during this month itself. 

Phase -II including the CC-pavement of over 5000 sq.m is attending stage and is due for completion in next four months.

While hinterland traffic is the prime segment, Southern Railway intend to capture the considerable export market on offer from the ports of Chennai and Egmore , through competitive pricing.

Major Automobile Industries located in Chennai are: - 

• Hyundai Motor India Ltd. - Production capacity per annum - 6 lakh units
• Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd. - Production capacity per annum -  2 lakh units (to be increased to 4 lakhs in second phase and 8 lakhs in final phase)
• Ford India Private Ltd. - Production capacity per annum - 1.05 lakh units
• Daimler(trucks) - Production capacity per annum - 15000 units
