Indian Railway is announcing various special trains for the occasion of Diwali Festival 2018. Following are the details.

Diwali Special Trains 2018

Train Nos.08037/08038 Shalimar - Puri - Santragachi Diwali Festival AC Special Trains (07 Pairs)
Train No.08037 Shalimar - Puri train will depart from Shalimar at 23.55 hrs on every Thursday and will arrive Puri at 08.35 hrs. The train will be from 04.10.2018 to 16.11.2018. 
Train No.08038 Puri - Santragachi train will depart from Puri at 23.35 hrs on every Friday and will arrive Santragachi at 09.00 hrs the next day.  
Halting
Shalimar, Santragachi, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhubaneswar, Puri. The train will also stop at Bhadrak, Jajpur - Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Khurda Road and Sakhi Gopal Stations.

Train No.08404 Santragachi - Puri train leaving Santragachi every Saturday at 19.10 hrs on every Saturday and will reach Puri at 04:00 hrs the next day. The train will be from 05.10.2018 to 17.11.2018.
Train No.08403 Puri - Santragachi train will leave Puri on every Friday at 21:25 hrs arriving Santragachi at 06.45 hrs the next day.

FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS  ON KONKAN RAILWAY DURING POOJA/DIWALI 2015

Konkan Railway decided to run Festival Specials 2015 for upcoming Puja and Diwali Festivals 2015. It has been decided to run Special Trains on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Pooja/ Diwali  Festival in co-ordination with  Central Railway. Following are the details.

Northern railways announced 94 more trips of special trains between various locations. Following are the details

• Train No. 02049 / 02050 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Darbhanga premium special train:- Train No. 02049 premium special train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on every Saturday from 4.10.2014 to 8.11.2014 at 07.50 hrs and arrive Darbhanga at 16.45 hrs next day.Train No.02050 premium special train will leave Darbhanga on every Monday from 6.10.2014 to 10.11.2014 at 11.00 hrs and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 23.15 hrs next day. Stoppages: Kalyan, Jabalpur, Chheoki, Mughalsarai and Patna. Composition: one AC-2tier, Two AC-3 tier, 12 sleeper class and one pantry car. 

IRCTC Online Reservation will open on 24.9.2014 for train No. 02049 leaving on 4.10.2014 and for trains leaving subsequently will open with Advance Reservation Period of 10 days (excluding the day of Journey)

Central Railways announced new Diwali special trains between Bandra and Gorakhpur to avoid extra rush of passengers during the season. Following are the details

• Train No 02534 Bandra (T) – Gorakhpur( weekly)  Super fast special Train:- Train No 02534 Bandra (T) – Gorakhpur( weekly)  Super fast special Train will leave from Bandra Terminus at 04.45  hrs on every  Tuesday from 7th October, 2014 to 11th November, 2014  and will reach Gorakhpur  at 14.25 hrs  next day.Train No  02533 Gorakhpur  – Bandra (T) (weekly) Superfast Special train will depart from Gorakhpur at  07.00 hrs  on every Sunday from 5th October, 2014 to 9th November, 2014  and will reach Bandra (T) at 17.35 hrs  next day. Stoppages:- Borivali, Vapi, Surat,  Vadodara, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bharatpur, Achhnera, Mathura Jn.,Hathras City, Kasganj, Farukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Central, Luc, Gonda, Basti and Khalilabad  station in both directions.Composition:- AC 3-Tier, Second Class Sleeper and Second Class General coaches.
