NEW TELECOM POLICY 2012 :: NO ROAMING CHARGES
Cabinet approved New Telecom policy that abolish Roaming charges."Affordability of the consumers is the core of our policy," Kapil Sibal, Minister of Communications and Information told reporters after a cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. New Policy aims at free roaming facility throughout the country.
Some highlights of the policy are, Making India a Global Hub,Wide use of mobile phones, Minimum download speed, Convergence of network, Liberalization of Spectrum, Simplification of Licensing Regime, Free Roaming, Next Generation Network including IPV6.
