NO PROPERTY SHARE FOR MARRIED WOMEN - HARYANA PANCHAYAT

A village in Haryana has banned married women from seeking a share of parent's property. A panchayat of 400 villagers at Thua village in Jind together took the decision.This decision of villagers is against the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act,2005.The act stated that daughters enjoy  equal rights over family property.

The panchayat resolution states: "Every girl will have to part with her share of parental land and hand it over to her brothers. If she has no brother, she will give it to other family members at her parental home. If a woman violates the diktat, she will face social boycott and have to pay a fine." Village pradhan Amar Lal Kaliramna has gone a step further. He said even those who will buy land from married women will be ostracized.

Jind Bar Council member Vinod Bansal said, "If a girl approaches the court, she'll get her share of her property. After her father's death, property is transferred to legal heirs, which includes daughters."

AIR INDIA FLIGHTS CANCELLED

AIR INDIA PILOTS STRIKE

The strike of Air India pilots are continuing.The Air India Friday dismissed another 25 protesting pilots,now the total dismissed pilots are 71,and asked aviation regulator Directorate General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to cancel the flying licenses of those pilots.

NEW SERVICE TO DUBAI : JET AIRWAYS

NEW FLIGHT SERVICE FROM MUMBAI TO DUBAI BY JET AIRWAYS

Jet Airways announced  4th daily service between the two financial hubs of Mumbai and Dubai. This is the fourth daily frequency being introduced between the two cities and is expected to provide guests with the convenience of an additional noon service. The new service will complement the three flights already being operated by Jet Airways on the high demand Mumbai-Dubai route.the service will start from  May 18, 2012 onward.

Timing and other Details

Flight 9W 536 will leave Mumbai at 1230 hrs and arrive Dubai at 1405 hrs. On the return leg, 9W 535 will depart Dubai at 1620 hrs and arrive Mumbai at 2055 hrs providing onward connections to other destinations on the airline's network.

The airline also operates daily direct flights to the Emirate of Dubai from Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad, which makes the additional flight from Mumbai to Dubai the seventh daily direct service on this sector.

Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said "Jet Airways has already established itself as a prestigious brand in the intensely competitive Indo-Gulf sector in a relatively short period of time, on accord of the warmth of its service and quality of its in-flight product. We are happy to introduce this fourth day time frequency to Dubai and are confident that this additional service will prove immensely popular with our guests as it provides a wide connectivity throughout the day. The new flight would also help in connecting our guests flying in from Tier II and III cities following an increased demand due to the flow of tourist and business traffic to and from Dubai."

The introduction of this new additional daily service from Mumbai to Dubai will further strengthen Jet Airways' presence in the Gulf, where it has emerged as one of the leading carriers on the Indo-Gulf sector.

Wi-Fi connectivity in Howrah Rajdhani Express will stared from September 2012 onwards.It will be a pilot project,the Internet facility will be available in the three rakes of the Howrah Rajdhani Experss.Minister of State for Railways K.H.Muniyappa said in Loka Sabha that "It is a satellite-based system using a Wi-Fi for distribution of Internet bandwidth in coaches and the likely".The cost for the implementation is Rs.6.30 crore.

FIR LODGING - ONLINE REGISTRATION

From the end of this year onward no need to go to the police station for filing an FIR (First Information Report). After the establishment of server and network for this,people will be able to file an FIR through online.

Home Minister P. Chidamabaram announced this on Wednesday in the Rajya Sabha. Minister said that through this system people can avoid problems while lodging FIRs.
