Mumbai, which saw heavy rains in the last two days, will see more downpour today. Here we are giving latest Updates about the Mumbai Suburban Trains and other long distance trains.

at 05.32 pm : Central Railway announced that Train No.12105 CSMT - Gondia Vidarbha Express JCO 20.9.2017 will run upto Nagpur only due to operational reasons.
Western Railway
at 04.41 pm : WR suburban trains are running normal between Churchgate-Virar - Dahanu Road except some cases of minor delay as at 04.15 pm .
Western Railway takes necessary steps for the relief of passengers during the situation due to very heavy rains in Mumbai.
- All Catering Stalls are instructed to keep Sufficient food stuff and remain open.
- Refund counters are operated at Mumbai Central, Bandra T, Andheri, Borivali, Vapi, Valsad and Surat.

DERAILMENT :MONKEY HILL - KHANDALA : 07.09.2017

A third train accident happened on Thursday i.e 07.09.2017, at around 3.55 PM. 6 wagons derailed (3rd to 8th from the rear end) on Dn line between Monkey Hill and Khandala in Maharashtra infringing Middle line.
Today's first train derailment took place at 6:25 am when seven coaches of the Jabalpur-bound Shaktipunj Express derailed near the Obra Dam station in UP’s Sonbhadra district. Within a few hours, the Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani Express derailed near Minto bridge in the national capital at around 11:45 am, leaving at least one person injured. This was followed by another derailment of a goods train in Maharashtra’s Khandala close to 3:55 pm., that is the latest.
Following three train derailments on Thursday in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Maharashtra, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal chaired a high-level meeting on safety in train operations with Railway Board officials. In the meeting, Unmanned Level Crossings and derailments due to defects in tracks were identified as major causes leading to accidents.
Because of the derailment of Goods Train between Monkey Hill and Khandala, Indian Railway cancelled/Short Terminated many long distance and Intercity train services.

DERAILMENT : MUMBAI - NAGPUR DURONTO EXPRESS : 29.08.2017

Central Railway announced that Train No.12290 Nagpur - CSMT Mumbai Duranto Express derailed between Asangaon and Vasind. But no injuries reported. This is affecting the normal suburban services of Central Line, Harbour Line Services of the Central Railway and Western Line of Western Railway. Central Railway is arranging buses to bring passengers to destination. Last week, four coaches of a harbour line train heading from Andheri to CSMT had derailed at Mahim. The railways conducted a nine-hour long public hearing into this accident on Monday. Today Railway announced Helpline Numbers. Following are the details.

DERAILMENT : KAIFIYAT EXPRESS : TRAIN UPDATES

Days after Utkal train mishap, 8 coaches of Kaifiyat Express 12225 derailed at 2:40 am today morning in Auraiya, near Kanpur after the engine collided with a dumper, a famous Newspaper reported. The Delhi-bound train on the Delhi-Howrah route, was coming from Azamgarh, when it met with the accident while leaving the station of Achhalda and Patra by gate number 14.At least 74 people have suffered minor injuries in the mishap and have been rushed to the Achhalda civil hospital. No casualty has been reported so far.The train has been evacuated completely. No coach overlapped the other during the derailment. MUZAFFARNAGAR : TRAIN DERAILMENT : 19.08.2017

Today evening train Derailment occurred of Utkal Express in Muzaffarnagar, following are the arrangements by Indian railway in-order to help the passengers.
At least 23 people have died and over 72 injured after 14 coaches of the Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh this evening, a famous Newspaper reported.
The accident took place around 5.46 pm in Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar, barely 100 kilometres from the national capital, New Delhi. The train was headed from Puri in Odisha to Haridwar in Uttarakhand. One coach rammed into a house on the sides of the tracks and two coaches climbed one over the other.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has ordered an inquiry into the train derailment to ascertain its cause. "Strict action will be taken against any lapse," the minister tweeted.
The derailment is likely to affect movement of trains on the busy Northern Railway route. The Railways has announced a compensation of Rs. 3.5 lakh for the family of those killed, Rs. 50,000 for those seriously injured and Rs. 25,000 for people with minor injuries.

Train Derailment : Central Railway : 27.02.2017

Central Railway announced that three wagons and brake van of a goods train derailed between Ravli and Kurla on down Harbour Line at 04.09 hrs today. Following are the details.
- Suburban trains are running between Kurla and Panvel, CST and Andheri.
- Main line and Transharbour trains are running. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Transharbour and Main line.
- 6 additional emu rakes are pressed in service on CST-Andheri/Kurla, Panvel-Vashi/Thane and Kurla-Panvel section
- Railways have requested Best to run additional buses from Kurla towards CST. BEST is running additional buses from Kurla/Vadala towards CST and Vashi-CST.
