Southern railways announced that a new Summer special trains between Chennai Central and Kochuveli to avoid extra rush of passengers during the season. Following are the details
- Train No.06011 Chennai Central – Kochuveli superfast special train:- Train No.06011 Chennai Central – Kochuveli superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 23.30 hrs. on 14.5.2014 (Wednesday) and arrive Kochuveli at 16.10 hrs. on 15.5.2014 (Thursday). Stoppages:- Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam and Quilon. Composition:- 8 Sleeper Class Coaches.

Central Railways announced that will operate three traffic blocks on Khopoli - Karjat Up line from 12.00 pm to 1.40 pm (1 hour 30 minutes) on 12.5.2014, 14.5.2014 and 16.5.2014 for adjustment of cross over at Palasdari and Karjat stations.

Western railways announced new Urs Festival special trains between Bhopal and Ajmer to avoid extra rush of passengers during the season. Following are the details
- Train no 09603 / 09604 Ajmer- Bhopal (Exp) URS Special:-Train no 09603 Ajmer- Bhopal (Exp) URS Special will leave from Ajmer at 16.40 hrs on 04/05/2014 and reach Bhopal at 06.45 hrs the next day. Train No 09604 Bhopal- Ajmer (Exp) URS Special will leave from Bhopal at 08.20 hrs on 05/05/2014 and arrive Ajmer at 23.00 hrs the same day. Stoppages:- Nasirabad, Bijainagar, Bhilwara, Chittourgarh, Neemuch, Mandsor, Jaora, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain, Shujalpur, Sihore and Bairagarh stations. Composition:- First AC, AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class and Second Class General Class.
