Western Railway announced that the
Cancellation and Clerk-age charges of
trains will be
revised from
April 2013 onward. Following are the details.
The clerk-age charges are leviable on cancellation of unreserved, RAC and Waiting list tickets as well as on cancellation of reserved tickets.

Western Railway announced the Reservation Fee and Supplementary charges for Super fast trains will revised from 1st April,2013.
The Enhanced reservation fee which is levied on tickets booked for journey originating from other than the ticket booking station, like return tickets, onward journey tickets, etc. is also withdrawn w.e.f. 1st April, 2013. The revised charges are as under.

For smooth functioning of all arrangements, the following steps will be taken during the period Holi Festival and Summer rush 2013.
- In case of an emergency apart from availability of First Aid post at the major terminals doctors have been nominated so that they will be available at short notices.
- Trains enquiry system and announcement system will be monitored during festival period.
- It is being ensured that all Booking and Enquiry counters are being manned during the peak hours.
- Security arrangements at stations and parcel booking area has been beefed up by deploying additional RPF personnel at strategic points.
- Additional booking counters as per need will be opened.
- Commercial Officers and supervisors have been deputed to ensure that the quality of food is good and also there is no over charging by catering vendors. All efforts would be made to provide better and improved passenger amenities like cleanliness at stations and in trains, adequate drinking water, illuminated signage and clean and proper waiting halls etc.
- During peak rush hours Senior Officers have been deputed in the major stations.
- Scouts and guides volunteers have been deputed to assist the passengers.
- Adequate personnel have been deployed at station premises and trains to ensure cleaning of platforms, tracks, waiting halls and toilets.
- Special trains (making 296 trips) as per requirement on the basis of trend of passenger rush during previous years have been planned.
- East bound trains have been augmented by General Coaches as per feasibility.
- Platform berthing of trains will not be changed during festival rush period except in unavoidable circumstances with adequate advance notice to passengers by way of frequent announcements.
- Special trains will be placed on platforms at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure to ensure that the passengers have ample time to board these trains.
- Senior railway officers will be deputed to supervise all the reservation counters at all the locations, the staff nominated for countersigning the requisition slips and ensure availability of adequate requisition forms at all reservation offices.
- Additional Counters for reservations would be opened at the locations wherever it is necessary for the convenience of passengers.
- Additional booking counters as per need will be opened.
- Team of Commercial/Vigilance Inspectors and RPF/Police staff would be deputed at reservation offices for keeping surveillance over the activities of touts and anti-social elements and detect various frauds including Travel on Transfer Tickets.
- Squads of Commercial and ticket checking staff would be formed to organize special surprise check to curb the activities of anti-social elements and to organize special checks to detect various frauds including transfer-of-ticket cases.
- Regular announcements about introduction of special trains, augmentation etc would be made for the information of users.
- Due publicity through press releases to both print and electronic media and loading on the Railway site would be done about the special trains , augmentation, additional stoppages the extra coaches for the public would be done well in advance for passengers to plan their journey.
