VELANKANNI : SPECIAL TRAINS 2016

Indian Railway announced number of special trains to Velankanni in order to control the extra rush of passengers during Velankanni festival 2016. Following are the details.

Velankanni - LTT  special Fare Special train

• Train No.06027 Velankanni - LTT special Fare Special train will depart from Velankanni at 21.45 hrs on 8th September 2016 and arrives LTT at 09.15 hrs on 10th September 2016 (Saturday). 

Composition

Two AC 3-tier, Seven Sleeper Class, Seven General Second Class and Two coaches of Luggage cum brake van.

Velankanni - Tirupati Special fare special train

• Train No.07062 Velankanni – Tirupati special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 15.00 hrs on 06th September, 2016 and reach Tirupati at 03.30 hrs the next day.

AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 10 and Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Velankanni to Secunderabad Special fare special train

• Train No.07059 Velankanni – Secunderabad special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 18.45 hrs on 08th September, 2016 and reach Secunderabad at 20.00 hrs the next day.

AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 10 and Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Velankanni  - Chennai Egmore Special fare special trains between 

• Train No.06003 Chennai Egmore – Velankanni special fare special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 22.45 hrs on 05th September, 2016 and reach Velankanni at 06.45 hrs. the next day.
• Train No.06004 Velankanni – Chennai Egmore special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 22.30 hrs on 06th September, 2016 and reach Chennai Egmore at 07.20 hrs. the next day.

AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 8, General Second Class – 4 and Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Velankanni - Tirunelveli Special fare special trains between 

• Train No.06006 Tirunelveli – Velankanni special fare special train will leave Tirunelveli at 15.25 hrs on 04th September, 2016 and reach Velankanni at 03.15 hrs. the next day.
• Train No.06005 Velankanni – Tirunelveli special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 17.00 hrs on 05th September, 2016 and reach Tirunelveli at 04.35 hrs the next day.

• Train No.06008 Thiruvananthapuram – Velankanni special fare special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 22.45 hrs on 04th September, 2016 and reach Velankanni at 14.00 hrs the next day.
• Train No.06007 Velankanni – Thiruvananthapuram special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 18.15 hrs on 05th September, 2016 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 07.30 hrs. the next day.

Velankanni -  LTT Special Trains via Pune

• Train No. 01031 LTT – Velankanni special trains will depart from LTT at 13.20 hrs on 26.8.2016 and will arrive Velankanni at 22.00 hrs on the next day.
• Train No.01032 Velankanni - LTT special trains will depart from Velankanni at 08.30 hrs on 28.8.2016 and will arrive LTT at 16.20 hrs on next day.

Velankanni - Bandra Terminus Special fare special train

• Train No.00902 Velankanni - Bandra Terminus Special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 21.45 hrs on 29th August 2016 and reach Bandra Terminus at 10.40 hrs on 31st August 2016.

Composition

One AC 2 tier, Four AC 3-tier, Ten Sleeper Class, Four General Second Class and Two Luggage cum brake Van Coaches.

Velankanni - Bandra Terminus fully reserved special train

• Train No.09001 Bandra (T) – Velankanni Special train will leave Bandra Terminus on 27th August, 2016 (Saturday) at 22.50 hrs and will reach Velankanni on 29th August, 2016 (Sunday) at 12.30 hrs.
• Train No.09002 Velankanni – Bandra (T) Special train will leave Velankanni at 21.45 hrs on 29th August, 2016 (Sunday) and will arrive Bandra Terminus at 10.40 hrs on 31st August, 2016 (Wednesday).

Halting

Borivali, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Muddanuru, Yerraguntla, Cudapah, Razampeta, Koduru, Renigunta, Tiruttani, Arakkonam, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tirupadaripulliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur Jn. and Nagapattinam stations in the onward journey. However, on its return journey, the train will halt at all the above mentioned stations except Daund station.

AC II - tier, AC III - tier, Sleeper class and II Seating Reserved Coaches.

The booking for Train No.09001 will open on 8th August, 2016 at all PRS counters and IRCTC website. Fares chargeable will be inclusive of special charges.

Velankanni - Ernakulam Jn. Special fare special train 

• Train No.06016 Ernakulam Jn. – Velankanni special fare special train will leave Ernakulam Jn. at 20.10 hrs on 25th August, 2016, 1st, 8th and 15th September 2016 and reach Velankanni at 09.30 hrs. the next day.
• Train No.06015 Velankanni – Ernakulam Jn. special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 14.20 hrs on 26th August, 2016, 2nd, 9th and 16th September 2016 and reach Ernakulam Jn. at 04.15 hrs.the next day.

Composition

AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 11, General Second Class – 3 and Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Halting

Aluva, Thrissur, Ottapalam, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam. Train No.06015 Velankanni – Ernakulam Jn. special fare special train will stop at Ernakulam Town also.
