AUTO EXPO 2012 :: FIRST HYDROGEN AUTO IN THE WORLD
The world's first Hydrogen Auto- High Alpha Auto started to run in New Delhi. Now only 15 Autos started to run as a trial.
These 15 Autos will be for next four months in Pragati Maidan,New Delhi. If it will be a success the commercial base production will start. Hydrogen Auto is the part of Delhi 3W,the Delhi 3W is the combined project of UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization), ICHET (International Center for Hydrogen Energy Technology) , Mahindra and Mahindra and IIT Delhi.
Hydrogen has no Carbon,so it doesn't create any Air Pollution,this is the major specialty of Hydrogen Auto.The cost of Hydrogen is similar to other fuels used in vehicles.The price of Hydrogen is 250 per KG.But manufactures has the opinion that with high fuel efficiency we can reduce/maintain the cost. Hydrogen Auto is the result of Twenty Years of experiments. Rita Menon (Controller of ITPO - India Trade Promotion Organization) said that the report about the efficiency of Hydrogen Auto will be submit within three months.
